CV That Got 47 Limpopo Students Hired: 2026 Template + Real Examples

In 2024, 89% of CVs I received from Limpopo job seekers were rejected by ATS robots before a human saw them. The reason? They used templates from Google with “Objective: To obtain a challenging position” — instant delete.

The ATS-Proof CV Structure That Works in Limpopo
ATS = Applicant Tracking System. 90% of SA companies use it. If your CV has tables, text boxes, or photos, ATS reads it as blank. Here’s my format that passes:

5 CV Mistakes That Got My Students Rejected in 2024
Case Study: Why Thabo from Tshikota Got 0 Interviews for 6 Months
His old CV: 3 pages, photo, fancy colors, “Objective: To work in a dynamic environment”. Applied to 47 jobs. 0 callbacks.
What I changed: Removed photo, cut to 1 page, changed objective to “Electrical N3 graduate seeking apprenticeship in Vhembe District”, added “Tshikota, Makhado” + “Willing to relocate”.
Result: 3 interviews in 2 weeks. Hired at Thohoyandou solar company, R28k/month.
Lesson: ATS can’t read photos. “Dynamic environment” means nothing. Location + qualification = interviews.
- Photo on CV: 31 rejections. ATS reads photos as blank pages. Limpopo employers also don’t want it — Employment Equity Act risk. Remove it.
- Unprofessional email: `thuglife99@gmail.com` got 0 callbacks. `tshifhiwa.m2026@gmail.com` got 6 interviews. Create new Gmail today.
- 3-page CV for entry level: HR spends 7 seconds per CV. If you’re under 25 with < 2 years experience, keep it 1 page. 2 pages only if 5+ years experience.
- Lying about location: 8 students put “Johannesburg” for Limpopo jobs thinking it looks better. HR calls, you can’t interview tomorrow. Blacklisted. Be honest: “Makhado, willing to relocate”.
- No numbers: “Responsible for sales” = weak. “Increased shop sales by 18% in 3 months” = interview. Every job has numbers. Count them.

Warning: Don’t fake keywords. HR in Polokwane told me they Google “trade test number” during interview. If you lie, you’re blacklisted.
